About Kuang Zhang (张匡衡)
I started out in Pittsburgh as an engineer and consultant, building software systems for local schools, manufacturers, and healthcare providers. That hands-on work naturally grew into architecture and team leadership at Concentra and CSDG, where I was fortunate to serve as chief architect on SafeHealth, a unified health record system that earned the AMDIS 2009 Most Innovative System award.
In 2006, I joined EMC, taking on opportunities to help grow our consulting teams abroad — first in Bermuda, and later in Hong Kong, where I spent four years building EMC’s Asia Pacific and Japan consulting practice across 22 countries. I eventually moved to EMC’s Global Services CTO Office in Boston to focus on strategic business development, due diligence, and post-acquisition integration.
Since 2013, I’ve worked independently through Aderitas Group in Pittsburgh, taking on advisory and interim leadership roles. One highlight was working with Rainmaker Insights, a real estate data company, where our team managed to refocus an underperforming business unit and scale data revenue to $2M.
Today, I focus on building and operating my own ventures. Along with running a local business in Pittsburgh (P Town Bar, following a stint with a restaurant, Blue Line Grille), I’m actively building software at Summitspoint — developing Seraverra / CrawlReady, an AI-visibility scanner for agencies — and co-founding Maddie’s Lab, a suite of Clover apps for small businesses.
