Search Isn’t a List Anymore
For thirty years, the web worked one way: you typed a question, you got a list of links, you picked one. That contract built the modern internet, and it is expiring.
Now the answer comes first. The AI reads the web for you and replies in a paragraph — naming two or three businesses, summarizing the reviews, done. If your business is not one of the names, you were never in the room. There is no page two.
That is what I am building now, at Summitspoint: Seraverra / CrawlReady measures whether AI systems can find, read, and cite a business correctly — and shows the owner what to fix when the answer comes back wrong, thin, or missing entirely.
I started in this industry making sure old systems could read a date correctly past midnight in 1999. Twenty-seven years later I am making sure AI systems can read a business. It is, I have decided, the same job: being represented correctly to the machines. The machines just got much better at answering back.
